Crazy Wife Moment...

I realize I have become a little too honest on this blog but oh well. I had a crazy wife moment tonight, my dear sweet husband got home from a "long" day. The word long is in quotes because he had a test and then he had to go to a movie with his brother. I hate when I have to go to movies with my brother... anyways... He comes home from this "long" day a little bit after I got home from my actual long day at work. I'm debating on packing up our room so we can move upstairs easier and as I'm contemplating, he turns on his Call of Duty. I HATE this game. HATE it. For some reason, when I hear that "dun dun" of the game starting, it sends craziness throughout my body. I asked him if he was seriously gonna play that. He then asks me if I want to watch a movie or something. I tell him I can't decide what to do, I really should pack up the room. Next thing I know, I hear that dang "dun dun." GRRRR. I tell him to at least turn it down, he replies by telling me that I need to ask him nicely. "Brian, will you please turn it down?" (In a very sarcastic voice). He tells me again to ask nicely. Um no thanks. I proceed to turn off the xbox and take out the game. My first thought was to break that dumb game in half and throw it in the garbage where it belongs, but I realized that it would just be another $60, leaving me less money to spend on home decor. So instead I take it to the bedroom and put it in my sock drawer. He then proceeds out the door. No words, nothing. We have been trying to be more patient with each other so I know he went outside to count to 10 or whatever. It's been an hour or so and he still hasn't asked about it... I think he knows better at this point ;) So instead, I get to watch a stupid documentary on health insurance. Which is worse? I don't know. Does anyone know what I'm talking about with these crazy wife moments or am I just crazy on my own?

Exciting News!!!

No, I am not pregnant, I just got my student teaching assignment! I will be teaching 2nd grade at Cascade Elementary in Orem! I am so nervous and so excited! AND... Brian got an interview with USN! He interviews next Thursday, the 3rd of Feb. He is so nervous and so excited too! It's so crazy because we're getting that much closer to our goals. We still have a long way to go, but baby steps my friends, baby steps :)

*Edit* USN is University of Southern Nevada but they have a West Jordan campus here in Utah so we wouldn't have to move! And it's one of the very few 3 year schools, most are 4 years so it would be perfect if Brian got in! :)

Happy Birthday Zoe!!!

My Zoe turned 2 today! I know I'm one of those weirdo dog people but we had to celebrate. One of her doggy friends, Scout, had his birthday the day before so we got them together for a little party. I made a cake for us and a special cake for the doggies. It was made of special ingredients for doggies and although it wasn't too appealing to me, the doggies loved it!
The human cake. Don't mind that blob of purple frosting, I've been watching a lot of Cake Boss and got a little too ambitious...
The doggy cake... Made of shredded carrots, peanut butter, and honey... yum.
The girls eating their cake. They wouldn't keep it on their plates in the kitchen :(
Scout and Zoe playing
Ha ha! Asha can't ever seem to keep her eyes open during pictures... I love it!
And the birthday girl! Her ears are folded cuz she was playing so much!
Happy birthday my Zoe girls. I love you so much!!!

Happy Holidays!

This holiday was crazy and unfortunately I forgot my camera everywhere we went so I didn't get a ton of pictures. First of all, my mom called me on Christmas Eve and told me that they had a 5 hour layover... in the Salt Lake airport! Brian and I blew off both of our family Christmas parties and drove up to Salt Lake to have dinner with my mom, brother, and sister. I haven't seen my mom for a holiday since I was 16 so it was amazing! Then on Christmas day we got to talk to Riley on Skype! It was so good to see him and talk to him. I just love him and the little goofy goober he's turned in to. We had a great Christmas spending time with family and a fun New Years spending time with friends.
I have learned a few things this holiday. First, I never ever ever want to work another holiday in retail. Done. Second, what is the point in stressing over all the prep work for holiday if I don't take the time to enjoy my family and friends... the very people all the prep work is for? I will not stress as much next year. If things get done, great... if not, oh well :) And lastly, I need to give more next year. We didn't do sub for santa this year, which sucked. Next year, we are doing a smaller Christmas for each other so we can give more. Oh yes, one more thing... I will never yell at another Wal Mart lady as long as I live :)
